According to a Hindu legend, Lord Rama was kidnapped and brought to this beach during his childhood. It is also said that Lord Rama has once again visited this beach in search of Sita his wife, who was kidnapped by Ravana. This portion of the beach where Lord Rama came is known as Cabo-de-Rama.

Access to beach:
This beautiful beach is easily accessible from Dabolim airport(18km) and Margaon town. It is well connected to this coastal town by some excellent roads. Regular buses, auto rickshaws and taxis ply from Margao to Majorda beach.
